About me

The business world has been taking a lot of heat within the recent years. The businesses are attacked for their profit driven approach to the world’s resources as well as ignoring their social impacts. Even the lobbying for policy change is an upstream attempt at cutting the business sector’s flow. I always attacked the big corporations’ impacts and their attempts at green washing. But as I came home from university I realized something- I’m from a business family. My dad has been a business man all his life, and my mom left teaching to start a business with him when I was younger. It is in my blood. I couldn’t just stand back and complain. Businesses have a huge influence on society and contribute the most to environmental degradation. To some businesses the “green revolution” is always trying to cut them off at each angle, and to others it is just a marketing opportunity. This is because there aren’t many examples of business and sustainable development being merged. This is where I come in. I am going to try and find that blend of business and sustainable principles and thus find our sustainable future.
